New research grant on organizational evolution
How does cooperation influence organizational evolution? A collaborative research project between the Universities of Maine and Vermont, funded by the National Science Foundation, will explore the role of cooperation in maintaining organizational function, and driving structural change. Working with a network of cooperatives, the project will create new theoretical models of organizational change and help develop strategies to aid cooperatives, and organizations of all types, become more effective and durable.
Open PhD position application
The University of Maine is seeking qualified applicants for a fully funded 3-year doctoral project on the influence of evolution of cooperation within organizations. The project is a collaboration between the Applied Cultural Evolution Lab at the University of Maine (Dr. Tim Waring), and the Joint Lab at the Vermont Complex Systems Center in the University of Vermont (Dr. Jean-Gabriel Young, Dr. Laurent Hébert-Dufresne). Position starts Jan, 2025.
