We are offering a fully funded PhD studentship investigating the role that culture plays in biological evolution in the people of Madagascar. This is an innovative project that integrates evolutionary genetics, bioinformatics, and anthropology. The successful student may also have the opportunity to travel to Madagascar.
The project is co-supervised by Dr. Jason Hodgson (Anglia Ruskin University) and Prof. Andrea Manica (Cambridge University), and based in Cambridge, UK. Funding is provided by UKRI-ESRC through the CAM-DTP, and includes tuition, research funding, and £21,805 per annum stipend. International students are welcome to apply, however, tuition is funded at the home student rate, and international students will have to show they have additional funding to cover the difference.
